“The Voice”: Relive the performance of Éric Di Meco and his group Osiris

THE VOICE – Viewers of The Voice were probably surprised to see Éric Di Meco in the tele-hook of TF1 this Saturday, March 19.

Having become a sports consultant following hanging up his crampons at the end of the 1990s, he presented himself here in the cap of the artist -bassist- with his rock group Osiris for the blind auditions.

Unfortunately for them, no coach turned around during their resumption of the title from Oasis Supersonic, as you can see in the video of their performance below.

“By making a tribute at Oasis, we knew very well that it was going to be difficult to bring a coach back”, reacted followingwards Éric Di Meco in an interview with Tele-Leisure. “Even more when you try to get closer to the original. Being told that we are too close to Oasis is a compliment to us.”

Unlike some of the candidates who applied for the chance to face the red armchairs, Éric Di Meco and the members of his group had been spotted as rocker “grandpas” to pass the selections. “The casting director (who was unaware of Di Meco’s past, editor’s note) was in the south in August and said that this season would be open to live bands”, explained in particular the ex-footballer in an interview with 20 Minutes. “Someone who knew us told him regarding us and suggested he look at our Instagram account. That’s what he did, he liked it.”

On Twitter, reactions were mixed following the visit of the Osiris group, as can be read in the messages below.
