The 14-year-old singer, who was part of Slimane’s team, performed Whitney Houston’s song “I have Nothing” for her semi-final.

“Singing a song like that is a monster. She tackled it with disconcerting ease and ease, ”his coach first commented hotly.

“Whatever happens, you in your life, you will have the choice to do this job or not. In any case, if you want to do this job, you will do this job”, then said Slimane to her, thanking her “for this gift”.

“High acrobatics. You left your heart on this stage because you are really made for it, ”also commented Patrick Fiori, who admitted to having the chills at the end of his performance.

These good words obviously resonated with Jade, who will be starting secondary 4 in a few days. The latter, who declared to the QMI Agency that she really liked her experience despite everything, would like to write her songs and intends to live from her music.

She is currently in a music-study program where she studies jazz and plays in a big band.

“It’s incredible the messages we receive from a lot of animators. They describe her as the next Celine [Dion]“, underlined his mother, Julie Hébert, who accompanied him throughout his adventure.

“When I was there, it seemed like I didn’t realize. In my head it was like a dream. And when I watch on TV, I still don’t realize. I don’t realize everything I’ve done,” confided the young singer with her eyes still filled with stars.

The end of one stage, the beginning of another

Being eliminated in the semi-finals did not negatively affect the young Quebecer. On the contrary, she cherishes her career with great pride.

“Honestly, it’s not something that bothered me. No matter who won, I was really happy because I had experienced everything I wanted to experience. I was with people I loved and I ended it with them and I won with them, in every way,” said Jade, who says she learned a lot of things during her time in France.

She also took the opportunity to visit the country, between the shootings which were spread over at least three weeks, last January. “Discovering France has always been something I wanted to do. When they told me I was going to do ‘The Voice’, it was like having two dreams come true at the same time,” she said with a smile.

The young singer, who made really good friends on the set of the show, where there was a beautiful spirit of conviviality and mutual aid, said she was very proud of her friend Durel, 13, who was chosen by Slimane to access the grand final. “He’s an incredible singer, he really deserved it,” she concluded.

The final of “The Voice Kids” will be presented next week on TF1.
