The Vocational Expo that took place at the Duam Space exceeded expectations and had more than 14 thousand visitors during the three days. It was held from Wednesday the 6th to Friday the 8th and had more than 40 educational institutions that presented their careers and trades.
The expo had three axes: the exhibitor area, the vocational guidance talks and the entertainment area. The purpose was to provide space for the dissemination of careers and trades through information stands.
For three days, young people from across the region were able to learn regarding careers, educational institutions and their proposals, participate in vocational guidance talks and enjoy a play area that stimulated skills and abilities.
The majority of young people in educational transition who attended the Neuquén Expovocational came away with a clearer idea of what they can and want for their future.
The 14 thousand attendees who arrived from different locations in Neuquén and Río Negro They highlighted that the sample was characterized by its diversity and dynamism.

Nicolás was one of the young people from the San Martín school, in Neuquén, who took the opportunity to clarify his doubts regarding the future. “The Expovocational was useful for me because in one place I can see all the options that exist,” he said.
For those who are still undecided, The educational sample was very relevant because it is a unique opportunity to learn regarding the careers in more detail, institutions and also participate in vocational talks. “I’m still not very decided, but I’m leaning more towards communication, public or international relations. The expo helped me clarify doubts and learn regarding other alternatives,” said Fiona Faraci, a young woman from Cipolletti.
It was beautiful to see this venue full of students, with overwhelming energy, appropriating this expo, exploring with great enthusiasm, getting involved, having fun, investigating, playing and enjoying this truly unique experience.

Part of the success of the event had to do with the wealth of public and private offerings that young people found. In addition, the entertainment area played an important role. Many of the companies and sponsors that supported the initiative also participated with recreational activities and interactive spaces, among them: GyP, Pluspetrol, Tecpetrol, Total Energies and Mutual Petroleros Hierárquicos.
The governor of Neuquén, Omar Gutierrez, attended the first day of the exhibition. During his visit, he highlighted the teamwork of the organizing authority that allowed the Expovocational to have continuity over time and to be decentralized and taken to different locations in the province, such as Zapala, San Martín de los Andes, Plaza Huincul, Chos Malal and Rincón de the Willows.
During the exhibition, The educational offer at the tertiary and university level was presented, both in public and private institutions. In addition, authorities from each institution, professors and advanced students from various majors were present to provide detailed information regarding the numerous academic options available in Neuquén, the region and the country.
In the first half of 2023, the Expovocational toured the territory of Neuquén under a traveling format. The tour began at the end of 2021, when other towns in the province began to join the Neuquén Capital edition.
The Expovocational is a free educational event, organized by Neuquén Events and the Government of the Province of Neuquén, and with the collaboration of the Legislature of Neuquén and the IJAN.
