The Vivaldi cuts through the Defense budget


The kern fails to agree on the 2% of GDP demanded by NATO.

It’s a kern “catastrophic” which ended in the middle of the night from Monday to Tuesday. The ministers parted without being able to agree on the share of GDP that should be allocated to the defense budget. The disagreement is so tenacious that some fear the return of a scenario similar to the sequence around the Marrakech Pact which precipitated the end of the Swede in 2019.
