The vitamin that delays aging and prevents hair loss

In an article published by your health and reviewed by doctor Aleksandra Viana points out that causes of aging such as dehydrated skin; the weakening of the hair strands; the appearance of stretch marks on the body; flaccidity in the face; and reduced bone density are signs that the body is deficient in collagen.

  • Parsley: 166 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Red pepper: 140 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Brussels sprouts: 112 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Broccoli: 110 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Kiwi: 100 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Fennel bulb: 93 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Papaya: 70 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
  • Orange: 50 mg of vitamin C per 100 g”.

Vitamin C, according to the US National Library of Medicine, is also “necessary for normal growth and development.”

Due to its importance for the body, this would be the amount of vitamin C that human beings should consume, depending on their age, according to what was published on the Mundo Deportivo portal:

  • Baby from 0 to 6 months: 40 mg
  • Babies from 7 to 12 months: 50 mg
  • Babies from 1 to 3 years: 15 mg
  • Children 4 to 8 years: 25 mg
  • Children 9 to 13 years: 45 mg
  • Adolescents 14 to 18 years: 70 mg
  • Adult women: 75mg
  • Adult men: 90mg
  • Pregnant 85:mg
  • Breastfeeding women: 120 mg

“The first adverse effect that manifests itself is gastrointestinal. High doses of vitamin C generate heartburn, heartburn and even diarrhea. In pregnancy, high amounts of vitamin C are not recommended because they affect the baby ”, explains the specialized portal Better with Health.

The website adds that “Another side effect of vitamin C is the formation of kidney stones.
