The viral video of a driver before the new bus service in Neuquén

The launch of the new public passenger transport system in Neuquén, which will start next Wednesday, February 1, arouses expectations among locals and strangers. It is that following two decades of the contract of a company that had troubles and is saying goodbye to the worst way, with broken cars, increasingly longer frequencies and drivers tired of complaining regarding the old models of Autobuses Neuquén.

Perhaps that was the reason why many workers, mainly from the lines that passed this Friday in front of the long line of 0 km units parked along Calle Miter in front of the National Museum of Fine Arts, were excited regarding the imminent change that it’s already throbbing They will be buses with air conditioning, security cameras, and a brand new body through the streets of the city.

However, that “love” will remain due to the challenges that they had to go through in recent months with the units that will go into “retirement” with the departure of the current concessionaire. In this sense, in the last hours, a particular video went viral on social networks.

The user @martinbarros1, who turned out to be a driver of the public transport service, posted a video on TikTok as a kind of tribute and reality of what is coming and what is going in the bus service, in which the words, although they accompany, they are superfluous since the images are compelling.

The new vehicle fleet for public passenger transport is made up of 180 zero kilometer units. Mayor Marinao Gaido stressed that “it will be modern and will provide security with cameras like in other major world capitals and GPS.” The entire fleet has ramps to facilitate access and exit for people with reduced mobility, as well as a heating and cooling system so that the driver and passengers travel comfortably.

On the other hand, the community chief indicated that the number of lines is being expanded, since it will go from 25 to 30, thus extending the service territorially. And that the current ticket collection modality with the SUBE validators will be maintained.
