The Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey held a meeting to celebrate the Lunar New Year

Joining the jubilant atmosphere with the country to welcome the new spring, on January 14, in the capital Ankara, the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey solemnly organized the program “Spring Homeland” – to celebrate the Lunar New Year. 2023.

The program was attended by a large number of relatives, Vietnamese expatriate families who are doing business and living in Turkey, international students, international friends, and all officials, employees and successful families. Embassy member.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Do Son Hai was pleased to say that in 2022, Vietnam-Turkey relations have achieved positive results. Many visits and working visits between high-level delegations of the two countries have contributed to strongly promoting bilateral cooperation after being affected by Covid-19.

Regarding economic and trade, in the first 11 months of 2022, the total two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Turkey reached about 1.85 billion USD, up 26.9% over the same period in 2021, of which turnover Vietnam’s exports to Turkey reached more than 1.46 billion USD, up 35.9%; import turnover was 386.96 million USD, up 1.5%.

The Ambassador said that the business communities of the two countries are paying attention and looking forward to more cooperation; In particular, the relationship between the two countries is expected to have a breakthrough after the fourth Deputy Foreign Minister’s political consultation (December 2022).

On this occasion, Ambassador Do Son Hai was pleased to see the efforts, spirit of solidarity, mutual support and always looking towards the homeland of the Vietnamese community in Turkey, affirming to pay attention to the Vietnamese community in Turkey. The well-developed Vietnam-Turkey relationship is indispensable without the contributions of our local community. The Ambassador hopes that the community will become more and more connected in life and work, always supporting, caring and helping each other.
