the video of how more than 20 motorcyclists together assault and cause terror in the streets of northern Cali

Some motorists with their faces uncovered, but covering the license plates of their vehicles, toured sectors of the north of the city of Cali, instilling fear and committing crimes. The events occurred on the night of this Friday, September 23.

According to the videos broadcast on social networks by people who were on site, the more than 20 motorcyclists were robbing left and right.

The criminal caravan, according to the story made by a man who recorded at the scene, started from Sameco and walked through the streets until reaching the well-known solidarity monument in that city.

In that section, the motorists stole the belongings of several pedestrians until they were intercepted by the community on North 34th Street, when one of them suffered a fall in the middle of the crowd.

“A convoy of motorcycles assaulting, more than 15 motorcycles assaulting and here they caught a bandit, here they caught one who fell, but they robbed many people from Sameco to the Solidarity monument… See the motorcycle with (showing the mask that covered the plaque)”the man is heard explaining in the video.

In the midst of the congested moment that passers-by lived in the area, the agents of the National Police arrived and managed to seize several motorcycles and, indeed, the capture of one of the motorized.

According to Colonel Nelson Zabala Joya, operational commander of the Metropolitan Police of Santiago de Cali, the authorities in the city are carrying out joint work with the mayor’s office and secretaries for this type of illegal caravans registered in Cali and this last time there were results.

“In the strategy that we have implemented, not only institutional caravans, but an inter-institutional caravan, a mobile intervention group, yesterday it was possible to immobilize 67 motorcycles, there was also a capture of a person for illegally carrying a weapon”said the colonel.

Among the most disturbing aspects of the case for the authorities is that the weapon seized had been “a traumatic weapon modified to have greater lethality.”

The police operational commander said that these operations will continue, which are deployed during the week and intensified over the weekend to address the situation in a timely manner.

“The National Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office and the Army, and the security secretary continue to carry out different activities to control these illegal caravans, we are having convincing results day by day and they are reinforced on weekends,” Colonel Zabala explained.

In a report that was sent in writing, the institution also detailed the results that the tours have left so far:

67 motorcycles were immobilized.

One person was arrested for illegal possession of weapons (modified traumatic weapon).

A traumatic weapon was seized.

Two minors were apprehended with 2 stolen cell phones.

Two stolen motorcycles were recovered.

Apparently, the illegal piques, as these caravans are known, have been going ahead for weeks in various sectors of the city of Cali and only on this occasion some of their participants would have taken the opportunity to assault the people they found in their path.
