On January 17, following a day, the People’s Court of Phuoc Long district, Bac Lieu province ordered the HTC establishment to compensate the owner of the Ut Dong Tien store 21 billion dong, the store owner said that he would appeal the judgment in the direction of: change the person to pay for the damage.
“I don’t know anything regarding Mr. Duong Minh Cuong – the owner of the HTC archyde news Facility, how can I force him to compensate me for my damage. From the beginning, I only accepted for Saigon Son Ha Company to install billboards. Before the welder came to install, the people of Saigon Son Ha Company called to inform that the welder was coming to install billboards as agreed. I only knew that Son Ha Saigon Company did and caused a fire. And I am determined to ask the court to declare that this company must compensate me,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, owner of the Ut Dong Tien store.

On the same day, exchange with PLO, Mr. Duong Minh Cuong, owner of the HTC archyde news Facility, also said he would appeal the judgment forcing him to pay 21 billion dong. “I do not agree with the whole sentence. I myself am a small establishment, in prison except for the compensation of 21 billion,”- Mr. Cuong said.

In December 2019, Mr. Giang Hoai Vien (Branch Head of Son Ha Company in Bac Lieu) was approved by the owner of the Ut Dong Tien store to install a billboard plastic tanks of Son Ha Company at this store.
Mr. Vien then met and agreed with Mr. Giang Quang Vinh on the construction and installation of billboards at Ut Dong Tien store. Because Mr. Vinh is a freelance welder, he cannot sign a contract with Mr. Vien. Meanwhile, Mr. Vien needs a contract.
In order to do this job, Mr. Vinh asked his uncle who is the owner of HTC archyde news Facility (Ward 2, Bac Lieu City) to sign a contract with Son Ha Company.
On the basis of the contract signed with Son Ha Company, around 2pm on December 16, 2019, Mr. Vinh and two other people went to Ut Dong Tien shop to construct billboards under the contract with Son Ha Company. During the construction process to remove the old signboard before installing the new one, a big fire broke out, burning down the Ut Dong Tien store.
