The newly released Nothing Phone (1) smartphone is already having a problem. Because there are early buyers who bought it before friends reported problems with the phone’s display. Especially the green screen and dead pixel or solid dots around it. front camera area
A Twitter user who bought Nothing Phone (1) from Flipkart in India noticed a green tint on the phone’s display. Even the replacement machine sent to me had the same problem.
In addition to Twitter, a similar Nothing Phone (1) green screen issue was reported on Reddit.
Meanwhile, Beebom reports another issue where there are dead pixel or solid spots nearby. The front camera area of the phone This happened following 3 hours of using the phone.
However, Nothing’s support department is aware of the issue and has opened a Twitter DM for reporting the issue.
There is no official explanation as to what caused all of the above problems. And I don’t know if the problem occurs in all regions that have been purchased before or not. (Author of the Android Authority website reported no such issues following reviewing Nothing Phone (1).)
Having said that, the green screen issue is not exclusive to Nothing Phone (1), as the issue has happened to many previous Android smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Note 20. S20 , OnePlus Nord , OnePlus 8 Pro and others, etc. From observations, phones with OLED display panels will encounter screen color problems. We’ve seen fixes in the past through software upgrades.
Hopefully Nothing can find the cause of the problem and fix it.
