With objectives and motivations that may have varied depending on the era, mastering spatial dynamics is a concern and a constant in public action. If, for the past forty years, urban sprawl has largely dominated the debates, the acceleration of the phenomenon, in parallel with the growing pressure of the associated environmental and societal issues (preservation of biodiversity, local and sustainable food supply, etc. ), led the public authorities to approach land issues in new terms (Boisson, 2005).
