The US sanctions the police chief of Ameca, Jalisco, for links with CJNG

The Treasury Department from United States imposed this Thursday Economic sanctions to six persons of Mexican nationality for their association with the Jalisco Cartel New generation (CJNG), including the Security Commissioner of Ameca, Severo Flores Mendoza.

The decision is the result of the collaboration of the Department of the Treasury with the Mexican Government, the Office of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
