This Sunday, the Manège des Champs-Élysées site in Gouy-lez-Piéton (Courcelles) will host the seventh edition of the Animal Festival: the last edition dates back to 2019, before the health crisis put many public activities under wraps.
This year, all the signals were green so that the event might well and truly be reborn. But, while everything was in place, this Friday, a gigantic gust of wind, which blew on the village of Gouy-lez-Piéton, overturned regarding twenty arbors intended to accommodate non-profit organizations and the public!
> Hugues Neirynck, Courcell alderman for Animal Welfare: “It didn’t last long, but the gusts were gigantic!
> “Yes, a huge amount of work is being done at the moment”: thanks to the efforts made, the Animal Festival will be held as planned.
