The debut of the updated Hyundai Palisade crossover took place in the US a month ago, and we already told regarding all improvements. Now the restyled model has been officially presented in its native South Korea. In general, this is the same car as in America, and in short, restyling brought him a changed appearance, a redesigned interior and an expanded list of options. But in the Korean market, Palisade has its own characteristics. The main thing is that here it is offered not only with a gasoline aspirated V6 3.8 GDI (295 hp), but also with a turbodiesel.
Unlike the younger crossover Santa Fe, the big Palisade did not get a new generation diesel engine with an aluminum cylinder block. Under the hood is still a four-cylinder 2.2 CRDI cast iron engine that produces 202 hp. and 441 Nm. It is combined with an eight-speed “automatic”, the drive can be front or full.
In addition, rich configurations have been preserved in the Korean scale. Calligraphy и VIP. The first differs only in nappa leather trim and extended contour lighting. And the VIP version has a massive armrest with a box for small items, cup holders (with heating and cooling), an air ionizer and a “music” touch control panel installed between the second-row seats. The chairs themselves have built-in speakers in the headrests. Touch screens of the media system are mounted on the back of the backs of the front seats, and niches for wireless charging of gadgets are equipped in the armrests on the doors.
In South Korea, the updated Hyundai Palisade is already available for order. The basic version costs $31,000, while the VIP version costs at least $45,000. Moreover, the richest crossover is also offered with both a petrol V6 and a diesel engine.
