Honor’s first foldable smartphone, the Magic V, will be unveiled on Monday, January 10th. In anticipation of the launch of the device, its full technical specifications and new images have leaked to the Web, in which the novelty poses in three colors.
The Magic V is said to have a flexible 7.9-inch internal OLED screen with a 2272 x 1984 pixel resolution and a 10.3: 9 aspect ratio. The display will boast a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The inner screen will not have a cutout for the front camera. To take selfies and make video calls, you will have to use a 42-megapixel sensor, inscribed in a tiny round notch located in the center of the upper part of the external display. The diagonal of the external display will be 6.45 inches. This is an OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 21.3: 9 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The main camera will combine three 50-megapixel sensors, one of which will be supplemented with wide-angle optics, and the second – with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The third module will “Spread spectrum camera”whatever that means.
The dimensions of the Honor Magic V will be 160.4 x 72.7 x 14.3 mm when folded and 160.4 x 141.1 x 6.7 mm when unfolded. This is roughly the size of the Huawei Mate X2. The device will weigh 293 grams. The battery capacity of the novelty will be 4750 mAh. It is reported to support 66W fast charging. The smartphone will be available in black, white and orange.
The Honor Magic V will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip paired with 12GB of RAM. The storage capacity will be 256 or 512 GB. The smartphone will offer users a pre-installed control of Android 12 with a proprietary shell Magic UI 6. The cost of modification with 256 GB of permanent memory will be $ 2200. The 512GB version will cost $ 2350.
