Jin Youzhi, a 96-year-old man from Mainland China, died in a hospital in Beijing in April 2015. He was not a high-ranking official, just an ordinary teacher. However, his death attracted intense reports from the international media, making the outside world unable to help but feel curious. . In fact, no one knows the name “Jin Youzhi”, but when it comes to his other name “Aisin Gioro Pu Ren”, many people may feel familiar, because his brother is the last emperor Pu Yi.

It is understood that Pu Ren is the fourth brother of Pu Yi. He was born in Beijing in 1918. At this time, the Qing Dynasty had been destroyed, but the Aixinjueluo family still lived in the palace, and many people also called him the prince. Although he is called Prince, the people of the Aixinjueluo family know that this is just an honorific title for the common people. Therefore, following the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the children of the Aisin Gioro family were required to study hard from an early age, so Pu Ren learned a lot of cultural knowledge from an early age, especially in the fields of literature, calligraphy, painting, and history.

When Pu Yi was the puppet emperor of Manchuria, he invited Pu Ren to serve as a senior official in the cultural department, but he refused. Later, because he mightn’t stand Puyi’s repeated requests, Pu Ren took his father Zaifeng to visit the Puppet Manchukuo. When they saw Puyi humiliating himself in front of the Japanese, Pu Ren and Zaifeng were furious. I mightn’t say anything. I didn’t eat any food that night and set off back to Beijing the next day.

After the Anti-Japanese War, facing the post-war reconstruction work, Pu Ren believed that he might make some contribution to the country. With the help of his father Zaifeng, Pu Ren built a school in a vacant house in the palace and named it Beijing Jingye Primary School. In the early days, there were only two teachers. Pu Ren served as the principal and his sister served as the teacher. After the founding of New China, ministries and commissions did not even have decent office space. With Pu Ren’s consent, the government paid for the acquisition of Prince Chun’s Mansion.

Facing the difficulties in national construction, Pu Ren, with the consent of his father Zaifeng, donated the royal palace’s gold seal, a large number of precious cultural relics, and thousands of cultural relics books to the country free of charge. Pu Ren stayed in the school as an ordinary teacher for more than 30 years, and did not retire until the 1980s. After retirement, Pu Ren did not sit idle at home, but continued to contribute to the country’s cultural undertakings.

Because of Pu Ren’s special status, he was often troubled by trivial matters in society. Some people pretended to be him and cheated, which also made him very distressed. However, there was another thing that was difficult for Pu Ren to accept. Some literary writers were hyping up Pu Yi’s marriage life, which made him very helpless. Therefore, every time he saw private articles regarding his brother, Pu Ren would sigh, “It’s okay to write regarding Pu Yi’s rights and wrongs, but everywhere It’s wrong to gossip regarding his engagement life, Puyi also has the right to reputation!”
