“It was unthinkable to accept the unacceptable,” declared the main defendant in this rape case when he was interviewed by the police. This man is the godfather of the victim, aged 11 at the time.

The events took place between 2022 and 2023, during the visits the young person made to him. The defendant began by sending sexually explicit images and videos to the minor, asking him to do the same, before committing indecent assault and rape on the latter.

The second defendant, who suffers from mental retardation, witnessed and participated in certain scenes. Both men have confessed to the facts.

Me Demanet represents the victim’s relatives, his father and his grandmother. “This child’s godfather was a predator, a hunter, whose goal was to devastate, to destroy. He maintained trust before taking control of the victim, demanding her silence. This kid was used as an object of pleasure, was involved in a threesome with child pornography.”

The public prosecutor, who requires 6 years in prison for one and 3 years for the other, underlines the blackmail exercised by the godfather on a young person who trusted him to achieve his ends, the length of the offense period and the recurrence of facts.

The defendants’ counsel pleads for sentences accompanied by probationary suspensions. “Unacceptable, inadmissible, unspeakable”, this is how Me Fery, counsel for the main defendant, described the facts of which his client is accused. “But everyone has the right to be defended. My client has confessed to everything. Making him rot in prison will not serve society. He began psychological follow-up. We must treat him, impose strict conditions on him, such as a ban on associating with minors or approaching the victim and the civil parties.”

The judgment will take place on April 11.
