The members of the Central Board of Directors and the heads of the 18 branches of Unter They are meeting at the Roca headquarters to define the Salary Board of the trade union entity.
The objective of this new body will be “analyze the quality and composition of our salaryevaluate the socio-economic context and assess the need to discuss the distribution of provincial resources, with a political-union perspective”, as anticipated from the union.
During the meetings held by the Table «three lines of work will be proposed: analyze the composition of teacher salarydetermine how and from which variables set a salary floor to discuss with the governmentand specify where the resources come from and How can we influence the preparation of the budget?
The Salary Board will be made up of the members of the Central Board of Directors and by one or a representative of each section, who will be designated by the Board. It will be a non-binding consulting space, “whose conclusions and perspectives will allow greater exhaustiveness in the knowledge of the economic and social reality of the different areas of our province, which will be provided by the respective sections.”
From the union they pointed out that “In this area, we will consolidate agreed political positions to advance in the definition of salary requirements that take into account our needs.”
“The objective is to build a collective space in which each participant can add contributions, expand knowledge and knowledge regarding the different edges that the salary debate and the dispute for a fair redistribution of wealth entail.”
Unter recalled that «Historically, our union has been a promoter and promoter of different spaces for debate, to give discussions with the different sectors of the popular field and to face, jointly, the economic difficulties with the aim of finding collective alternatives for resolution”.
In addition to this initiative, the union reiterated the proposal to “form the Social and Economic Council at the provincial level, so that the various social and political actors of the community can interact and reach majority agreements, in order to take a comprehensive look at the economic reality and promote a more equitable distribution of provincial income.
