The United States Department of State maintains the reward offered, since 2020, of 15 million dollars, for providing information that leads to the arrest of Nicolás Maduro. The Venezuelan dictator is accused by the US Justice on charges of narcoterrorism.
This arrest warrant kept Maduro away from the international scene and making sure he only participated in forums where his safety was assured.
However, Alberto Fernández invited him to participate in the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to be held on January 24 in the City of Buenos Aires.
The Argentine opposition did not take long to demonstrate once morest and repudiate the possible arrival in the country of the presidents or representatives of both Venezuela and Cuba, Nicaragua.
For its part, the Civic Coalition shared a statement on social networks: “We repudiate the presence of Maduro, Díaz Canel and Ortega and/or representatives of those dictatorial regimes.”
