Washington: The United States is preparing to develop a powerful new nuclear weapon. Pentagon sources said that the new bomb will be 24 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan during the Second World War.

The bomb, which comes with similar safeguards to the B61-12 model bomb, will outperform the older model in terms of accuracy. Earlier this month, the Pentagon conducted a nuclear test in Nevada. The new bomb comes with improved technology to detect the presence of other nuclear bombs hidden in underground chambers.
It is noteworthy that the United States has talked regarding a new nuclear bomb following the news that Russia is withdrawing from the Comprehensive Nuclear Explosive Test Ban Treaty signed in 1966. The countries of the world including India did not support this mission aimed at banning the production of nuclear weapons.
The new B61-13 will replace the existing B61-7. With the arrival of the new model, these will be removed from the existing nuclear arsenal. The Pentagon has made it clear that the range of existing nuclear weapons will not be increased, but only increased in strength.
