For many years now, tourists in Dong Nai and neighboring provinces have been “fascinated” by the “unique” beauty of apricot trees in the town in Gia Ray, Xuan Loc district.
On January 20 (December 29), Mr. Tran Cong Thanh (55 years old, owner of apricot trees) always took care of and watered his “giant” apricot tree.
Constantly asking for information, Mr. Thanh said that apricot trees often bloom on December 30 and the first day of Tet. Through observation with the naked eye, there are a few flowers that have bloomed, and most are waiting for the last day of the year.

Although he is quite secretive, Mr. Thanh always creates conditions for people to visit, everyone is welcome as long as they do not cut leaves or break branches.
Mr. Thanh once shared that in order for the tree to flower evenly and beautifully, before Tet, he and many others had to pluck leaves for the tree to take a few days. In recent years, the climate is favorable, so flowers bloom on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
According to the sign placed next to the apricot tree, information: “Originated from a friend (Uncle Xi – passed away) planted in 1964 for his father (Tran Cong Dinh) in 1984 to take care of him. Then he transferred it to his son (Tran Cong). Thanh) in 1985 planted the land and took care of it until now”.
It is known that this precious apricot tree has been valued by many people for billions of dong, but Mr. Thanh said it was “priceless”, never sold. He wants to directly take care of the ancient apricot tree, admire its beauty and share the joy of spring with everyone
After many years of taking photos with the apricot tree, Ms. Thanh Thao shared: “Every year, my family and I visit this ancient apricot tree. The apricot tree blooms very evenly, intertwined, forming an arc, very rare. The apricot flower blooms exude a fragrance, seducing visitors with different senses. For me, Tet must be seen in full bloom.
Mr. Thanh’s garden has only one apricot tree. The apricot tree, which is nearly 60 years old, was planted in a wooden pot.
