Has the top model as a company car: “After 20 minutes I was sold”
Published: 26 March 2024, 14:55 Bosse Holmquist pushes colleagues and friends to also get a Mazda.
As a salesman with hundreds of thousands of miles on the road, Bosse Holmquist knows what he needs to enjoy a car.
In Mazda’s top model, the plug-in hybrid CX-60, he has found everything and then some.
– It has a low benefit value and is both fun and comfortable to drive, he says.

Bosse Holmquist drives almost 5,000 miles per year in his job as a salesman in the rubber industry. He also has a great interest in cars and thus places high demands on comfort, appearance and driving pleasure. When he got to test Mazda’s SUV CX-60 for the first time, he mightn’t believe his eyes.
– To be honest, I never thought I would end up in a Mazda. I have driven European cars in the premium segment before, but the salesman I usually turn to suggested the CX-60. Now I push colleagues and friends to get one, says Bosse Holmquist.
He received the car two weeks following he ordered it, in September 2023. It’s been love since the first steering wheel grip.
– I have driven 1,500 miles with him and I am super satisfied. Mazda makes really good stuff.
Bosse Holmquist had looked at cars that cost around SEK 9,000 a month in beneficial value. When the salesman Magnus Flink called and told them that they had a fully equipped, black Mazda CX-60 with a benefit value of around SEK 6,000 a month, Bosse Holmquist pounced.
– This rascal meets all the criteria. I fell for it because it is good-looking, higher and has power, which is good when overtaking. It wasn’t exactly difficult to convince me.
The Mazda CX-60 is a plug-in hybrid with a range of 63 km according to WLTP. Estimated consumption is 1.5 liters per 100 km. The low vehicle tax and the option to drive on electricity in combination with a reduced benefit value from SEK 2,957 a month make the exclusive Mazda CX-60 a good deal for the company driver.
– It feels good to have saved several hundred thousand kroner compared to equivalent models from other brands.
Bosse Holmquist’s all miles on the road has made him understand exactly what he needs to be able to get to client meetings in the best way. In his case, four-wheel drive is a must.
– I’m on bad roads with farmers and I’m looking at tractors. The four-wheel drive on the CX-60 is awesome. It only goes straight forward when you step on the gas and is more rear-wheel drive than front-wheel drive in four-wheel drive, which makes it easier to handle when skidding. In bad grip on, for example, slush, I can steer him up without a problem, he says.
Other advantages that Bosse Holmquist highlights with the car are the comfort, the engine power, the well-sized cargo space and the spacious cabin. He also mentions the towing weight of 2500 kg, which is unusually high for a plug-in hybrid.
– For me, good towing capacity is important, as I do a lot with trailers.
Bosse Homquist has hard to come up with negative things regarding the car at all.
– After 1,500 miles I thought I would have found stuff that was less good. The only thing I can miss a little is that it is not possible to get support for the thighs. But it hasn’t meant any problems even during the longest journeys of 50 miles, but I sit very well and with maximum comfort.
All the miles on the roads thus confirm the first impression he got of the CX-60.
– After 20 minutes I was sold. Good for overtaking, quiet and high quality everything. I advise everyone to try.
