The union. Head in the stars with Neptunion31

2023-11-23 04:11:00

Neptunion31, the Union’s astronomy association, is offering a sky observation evening on Friday, November 24, from 8:30 p.m., in San Biagio Square. Once a month, weather permitting, these astronomy enthusiasts share their knowledge of the celestial vault and the stars that make it up. This evening will be an opportunity to observe the stars, planets and other celestial phenomena using the telescopes provided. Members of the association will be present to guide the curious through this cosmic exploration.

Autumn offers captivating skies with several interesting astronomical objects to observe, such as the constellations Pegasus and Andromeda or Cassiopeia, but also Jupiter and Saturn at the start of the night, and the Orion Nebula may begin to appear. The moon, the easiest celestial object to observe, will be nearly 90% visible.

“These meetings will obviously depend on the weather conditions which must be compatible with astronomical observations. This is why it is still advisable to check the information on the club’s website”, specifies Thierry Soulignac, president from the Association.

Whether you are a novice or an astronomy enthusiast, this evening is open to all those who come with their curiosity and the desire to discover the wonders of the night sky. It is advisable to be well equipped: gloves, hat, warm clothing, to fully enjoy this evening. The next meeting is already set for Friday December 22 at 8:30 p.m., San Biagio Square.
