Lance Reddick, an actor known for his roles in the films ‘John Wick’ and the series ‘The Wire’ has died at the age of 60.
This news was confirmed by Mia Hansen, the actor’s publicist. He reveals that Reddick’s death was sudden. Local authorities said the cause was natural. There is no possible indication of criminal and other cases.
However, he did not provide further details regarding the history of illness or diseases that Lance Reddick had during his lifetime.
Quoted from TMZ, the police said the actor’s body was found at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles, United States. His body was found on Friday morning, around 9:30 am.
Responding to this sad news, co-star in the series The Wire, Wendell Pierce expressed his condolences and stated that Reddick was a man of extraordinary strength.
Keanu Reeve, a player in the film ‘John Wick’, and its director also expressed their sorrow. “We are deeply saddened and devastated by the loss of our friend and colleague, Lance Reddick,” said Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski, quoted on Sunday (19/3).
“Reddick was a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. Our love and prayers go out to his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate this film to his loving memory. We will miss him greatly,” he continued.
Lance Reddick’s name became big following his role as a police lieutenant in the drama ‘The Wire’ which aired from 2002 to 2008. He also appeared in the film ‘John Wick’. It is known, Reddick is in the middle of busy with a tour to promote the fourth ‘John Wick’ film which is planned to be released on March 24, 2023.
