In June, 207,204 people were unemployed in Wallonia. The unemployment rate was 12.8%, up 0.8 percentage point.
The number of unemployed job seekers increased by 6.2% in June in Wallonia, compared to the same month in 2022, to reach 207,204 people, according to data published by Forem on Thursday. THE unemployment rate increased by 0.8 percentage point, to 12,8%.
The number of unemployment benefit recipients decreased slightly (-0.6%), i.e. 660 fewer people applying for benefits than at the end of June 2022.

The number of young people (under 25) in induction training has dropped by 18.4%, to 27,327. Forem attributes this sharp drop to the “implementation of the decree relating to coaching and solution-oriented support for job seekers”.
Young people on an integration course whose duration of registration at Forem is more than 18 consecutive months are now included in the category of persons freely registered.
