Costa Tropical x 100 KM – UTCT is a special mountain race, with a distance of 100.8 kilometers and a positive slope of 3,500 meters. The test takes place through a privileged natural environment, in addition to the mountains that surround the Costa Tropical area, it will be possible to enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Sierra Nevada and the Granada region.
The event, which will have the collaboration of the Andalusian Mountain Federation (FAM), will be organized by the Halcones Peregrinos Mountain Club, together with the municipalities of Los Guájares, El Pinar, Motril, Salobreña, Molvízar and Vélez de Benaudalla. This great sporting event will be held on April 15, 2023 and will cross the urban area of eight municipalities in the region. In total, six municipal terms will be covered, the list is completed by Motril, Vélez de Benaudalla, El Pinar, Los Guájares, Molvízar and Salobreña.
For registration, as well as for more information, go to the website www.cruzandolameta.es. They will be open up to 15 days before the race, or until all available bib numbers are complete. It is estimated a maximum duration of 21 hours and a number of refreshments of twelve. Initially, 200 registrations are enabled, setting the departure time at 7:30 in the morning. The goal, and also the start, will be set in the Plaza de la Coronación in Motril.
The price of registration will vary depending on when it is done. Thus, from December 5 to 31, those registered will pay 65 euros, in the case of federated members, and 70 for non-federated members. Between January 1 and February 1, it is set at 75 for federated members and 80 for non-federated members. From February 2 to April 1, unless the term is extended, 85 euros are established for federated athletes and 90 for non-federated athletes.
