In August, Schlager fans will once more be spoiled for choice: Ironically, when Roland Kaiser’s “Kaisermania” is being broadcast live on MDR, the “Beatrice Egli Show” is running on SWR.

Ulm / Dresden – The public broadcasters have long since discovered big Schalger shows by Florian Silbereisen (41), Giovanni Zarrella (45) and Co. as a quota guarantee. It is all the more surprising, however, that MDR and SWR are now getting in each other’s way with Beatrice Egli (35) and Roland Kaiser (71).

Roland Kaiser’s “Kaisermania” runs parallel to the “Beatrice Egli Show”

Beatrice Egli was recently unable to score with her concerts and sometimes only sold out a third. The “Beatrice Egli Show” has always enjoyed great popularity since it was created in 2022. The fact that it is now being broadcast while MDR is running a big hit competition is quite strange.

On Saturday, August 5, the time has finally come: The big final concert of Roland Kaiser’s “Kaisermania” will be broadcast live on MDR in prime time. Many a Schlager fan might get into a conflict with that. On the same day of all days, the SWR shows the “Beatrice Egli Show” – albeit not a new edition, but the show from 2022. Nevertheless, the two broadcasters are only competing unnecessarily.

More than just a hit star: Roland Kaiser was also an actor

In addition to his successes in the music business, Roland Kaiser has already made a number of trips into the TV business. In 2012 he was in the “Tatort” episode “Summ, Summ, Summ” from Münster and played the hit star Roman König. Together with Axel Prahl he also stood in front of the camera for the ARD tragic comedy “Eisland”. The film will premiere in the summer of 2021 as part of the Munich Film Festival.

MDR on August 5th is all regarding “Kaisermania”

But Roland Kaiser is not only the big topic on MDR during prime time. The accompanying program starts at 6 p.m. with “Countdown Kaisermania – Live from Dresden”, followed at 7.50 p.m. by “Countdown Kaisermania – Live from Dresden with Sarah von Neuburg and Lars-Christian Karde”. After the show itself at 8:15 p.m., the special “20 Years of Kaisermania” will run immediately followingwards.

The loyal fans of the hit star can look forward to even more music from the Berlin native: Roand Kaiser’s new album will also be released at the end of July, just in time for “Kaisermania”. Sources used: schlagerprofis.de; mdr.de
