On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Toiro Tomose, Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru (The Ultimate Game-Battles of a Boy and the Gods), a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for some point in 2024 in Japan.
Sazane and Tomose began publishing the light novels through the imprint Midfielder Bunko from the publisher Media Factory in January 2021. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Kapiko Torumi began to be published in the magazine Comic Alive in August 2021, with its second compiled volume published in April 2023 in Japan.

Tatsuya Shiraishi (Overlord II, Ace of Diamond, Hellsing Ultimate) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios LIDEN FILMS.
Yoshihiro Watanabe (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Sora no Otoshimono) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
NTL he is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts as his first job.
Gin of Busted Rose (Aho Girl, Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san, Kono Bijutsu-bu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Sinopsis de Kami wa Game ni Ueteiru
The Ultimate Brain Games, “Game of the Gods” made by their supreme grace, Gods, who probably had too much free time. An ancient God, Reche, who awoke from a long slumber; he declared to the world: “Bring the person who is the best in Games in this age!” The test given to humanity was to win ten games once morest the Gods. Ten difficult games brought to you by the Overgods. There has not yet been a victor throughout this vast human history. Fast forward to modern times. The man “chosen by the Gods” Fey. On behalf of all humanity, he was given the task. Tasked with challenging and winning brain battles with these Overgods.
But, Fey was not an ordinary boy. He’s the guy nominated for “best rookie” in recent years. The “Game of the Gods” that he is regarding to challenge might be too difficult. In fact, there is no human in history capable of succeeding. The reason is quite obvious. God is capricious, highly unreasonable, and sometimes even “Utterly Incomprehensible.” But, since this is a game, “it’s a waste not to have fun and play from the heart.” And so begins the ultimate brain battle between a gaming genius boy, an ancient God (who turns out to be a girl) and his friends.
