The Ukrainian Poutze community Dombresson

Cardboard boxes, bottles, plastic packaging, waste of all kinds were collected this weekend on the occasion of the Poutzdays. Between Friday and Saturday, 31 actions were held throughout the canton of Neuchâtel. For this 5th edition, the Ukrainian community of Val-de-Ruz was also there. A dozen or so immigrants, accompanied by two Neuchâtel families, traveled through Dombresson and its surroundings in search of the slightest cigarette butt. A total of two 110 liter bags of trash were picked up.

Over the two days, the founder of the Poutzdays, Mark Grünig, estimates that around two tonnes of waste were collected by the 2,000 volunteers, throughout the canton of Neuchâtel.

Mobilization in Switzerland too

On the occasion of the 10th national “Clean-Up-Day”, some 55,000 volunteers mobilized on Friday and Saturday in Switzerland. Some 750 clean square actions were carried out. /rgi
