Four innovative IT scale-up companies have been announced as winners of the Unicorn Kingdom Pathfinder Awards (UKPA), the UK Department for Business and Trade’s (DBT) largest global award for tech scale-up. Company. The winning companies address challenges ranging from connecting cancer patients to clinical trials to improving the resilience of IT systems against cyberattacks.

The DBT-hosted awards provide a unique opportunity to discover the IT industry’s most promising companies and build on the success of the UK Tech Rocketship Awards in 2023, which resulted in £67.4 million of investment in the UK .
The UK Government is committed to making the UK an even greater magnet for investors and global businesses of all shapes and sizes. The awards aim to demonstrate that the UK is the right country to do business in and help to promote further investment and growth opportunities.
Finalists were selected from four categories: AI, cybersecurity, connected and automated mobility (CAM) technology and digital commerce solutions.
The winners were announced yesterday at LinkedIn headquarters in London, where the 10 finalists faced a distinguished panel of judges from the tech industry. They also heard from entrepreneur Alpesh B Patel OBE in a fireside chat, as well as forum participants Envisionit Deep AI and Shopline – two companies that have successfully established themselves in the UK.
The winners will also be invited to a round table at the British Prime Minister’s official residence, No. 1 Downing Street. 10, to celebrate their success at the awards ceremony and explore ways in which the UK can maintain its position as a premier location for business expansion.

Winners of the UKPAs will receive a tailored growth program to grow their business in the UK, including support from leading industry and government professionals and the expertise of the DBT Global Entrepreneur Programme.
Winner:
- KI: Massive Bio – an AI-driven platform that connects cancer patients with biopharmaceutical clinical trials. The primary goal is to guide people with cancer through accurate and rapid analysis to clinical trials that are almost exactly tailored to their specific disease.
- Cybersecurity: CyLock– provides a simple solution to test the resilience of IT systems against cyberattacks and makes it easier for customers to implement solutions to overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
- Digital trading solutions: Grubtech – allows restaurants and grocery chains to introduce omnichannel capabilities without sacrificing their core solutions, such as: B. Points of sale, have to change.
- Connected and automated mobility: Bottobo – specializes in developing robotics solutions to streamline industrial processes and increase operational efficiency. The focus is on autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and software platforms that are revolutionizing the way warehouses and distribution centers fulfill orders.
