The UAE joins the “Times Higher Education- Impact Ranking 2022” ranking

“The UAE is proud to be included for the first time in the international ranking “Times Higher Education- Impact Ranking 2022″, which assesses the ability of universities around the world to meet the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) “, underlined the University in a press release.

For its first application, the UAE participated in 5 SDGs and performed in 2, namely SDG 6 “Clean Water and Sanitation” which aims, among other things, for universal and equitable access to drinking water, hygiene and sanitation, and SDG 14 “Life below water”, which promotes the conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal ecosystems.

On SDG 6 “Clean Water and Sanitation”, the UAE is positioned in 1st place nationally, and in the 301-400 rank internationally, said the same source, noting that on the In SDG 14 “Aquatic Life”, the University ranks 1st nationally and ranks 201-300 internationally.

The participation of the UAE in this ranking strengthens the position and visibility of Moroccan universities internationally. It echoes its commitments as a responsible institution, acting positively for society by responding as best as possible to the objectives of the United Nations, and aligns itself with the orientations of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development.

In this sense, the UAE, in its development project, is committed to supporting the SDGs through teaching, research and knowledge transfer, as well as to embodying these SDGs in its internal practices and policies, this is the aim of its new policy on the University’s Social Responsibility.
