The Asian Football Confederation has confirmed that the UAE will host the upcoming “home” matches for China and Syria in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
China will meet Saudi Arabia on March 24 in Group B at Sharjah Stadium, in a match in which the “green” needs to win to ensure the World Cup finals scheduled from November 21 to December 18 next.
On the other hand, Syria will meet Iraq on March 29 at Rashid Stadium in Dubai in the first group, knowing that the first has lost hope of qualifying, while Iraq has a small chance to occupy the third place and enter the Asian play-off against the third of the second group, with the winner facing the winner between them. Fifth South American in a special supplement to be held in Doha in June.
Iran and South Korea have qualified for the Asian continent so far.
