The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure discussed with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of South Korea, strengthening relations and cooperation in the field of transport and launching joint initiatives in support of the partnership between the public and private sectors in the two countries.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the ministry’s participation in the World Cooperative Infrastructure Conference, hosted by the South Korean capital, Seoul, and was attended by Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director of Financial Sustainability and Investment Department at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Eng. Saif Ghobash, Director of Land Transport Affairs, and representatives of Etihad Rail. The Integrated Transport Center in Abu Dhabi.
Engineer Ahmed Al Hammadi said: “Cooperation between the two ministries includes plans, systems, processes and policies in the field of transportation, safety, security, flexibility and sustainability in the field of transportation, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of rail transportation, and current issues such as easing traffic congestion in urban areas and measures to combat climate change. planning, development and management of infrastructure such as roads and railways as well as technology cooperation, intelligent transportation systems and other transportation technologies to enhance existing transportation systems.”
In turn, Eng. Saif Ghobash praised the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which have witnessed great progress over the past few years, thanks to the support of the wise leadership of the two countries, mutual trust, respect and common interests, stressing that the memorandum is an extension of the historical partnership between the UAE and South Korea in various fields, which includes partnership The document in the transport sector, which is a major supporter of national economies.
