It may not have been “officially” released, but a look at the last photos sent for the meeting of the thematic groups of the Father’s Carnival 2025, “betrayed” the central poster of the institution as well as the one for the Children’s Carnival!
As is known, two pan-Hellenic contests were announced for the promotion of the two posters, which made their first appearance during the recent meeting of the thematic groups of the Patrinos Carnival, “hugging” the participants in the group photo they took.
It is recalled that the posters appeared after the approval of the five-member Jury of the two Panhellenic Competitions for their selection, which was staffed by:
1. Konstantinos Dragotis (Vice-President of KEDIP-Patras Carnival)
2. Antonis Papantonopoulos
3. George Maraziotis
4. Maria Manolopoulou
5. Asimakopoulou Maria-Sofia (Member of the Board of Directors of KEDIP-Carnival of Patras)
As you can see in the photo, the poster of the Children’s Carnival depicts a colorful rooster among streamers and confetti, while as for the central poster of the institution, we see two figures taken from a painting of the flow of cubism on bicycles with one wheel, wearing collars and hats! And we have to admit that we were more than pleasantly surprised by both posters!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen something so authentic, carnivalesque and imaginative about the Patrino Carnival, which escapes from the digital creations of other years, with the standard figures that often had no inspiration or even anything to do with the Patrino Carnival and its spirit!
After all, this should not surprise us, if we judge from the composition of the selection committee, as it includes important people who are related to both the Patrinos Carnival and the visual arts.
It is noted that the posters will be officially “presented” after the meeting of the Board of Directors of KEDIP, which is expected to take place next week.
However, if this is a first taste of the aesthetics that will be followed in the institution for 2025, then we should expect something… very good! We hope not to be denied!
