The two “captains” of the capsized yola in Puerto Rico are the only Dominicans confirmed on the journey

Until this Saturday morning, the information available regarding the shipwreck that occurred in Puerto Rico is that the only Dominicans who were on the boat were the two “captains.” They are alive, but details of their condition are not known.

This was revealed by the Dominican consul of Puerto Rico, Opino Díaz, to Listín Diariovia telephone.

The deceased remains at 11all women of Haitian nationality, 31 rescued, of which eight are hospitalized and the authorities continue to search for the disappeared.

The diplomat said he does not have the identities of the two “captains” and that only those two Dominicans who were in the yawl have confined him.

He indicated that he remains in contact with the Puerto Rican authorities and that as he receives details, he will share them with the press.

The shipwreck occurred last Thursday in Desecheo, north of Puerto Rico.
