Earlier in the evening police reported finding a dark colored Kia Picanto in the water near the Empel Junction (A59/A2).
“In the Kia Picanto found at Empel Junction, two deceased persons were found,” police said on Twitter Wednesday evening. “We can assume that these are the missing Sanne and Hebe. We are investigating the circumstances. We wish everyone involved a lot of strength.”
On Monday, Sanne drove off with the girl in a black Kia Picanto. The companion picked up Hebe from a day center in Raamsdonksveer and was supposed to drive from there to Vught, where the girl lives. But they never got there. In the days that followed, the police and groups of volunteers organized a major search to find the two people. An orange alert was also issued for the girl on Tuesday morning.
The young girl and her companion were last seen on the A59 near Waspik.
