The Twitter account of one of the most popular NFTs has been hacked

News first surfaced on social media that for the popular non-fungible token (NFT) collection, the Twitter account belonging to Azuki was hacked. One of the founders of the project himself, Hoshiboy, wrote regarding it for the first time. Azuki’s Twitter account first tweeted a malicious link asking followers to claim land on Azuki’s metaverse platform, The Garden.

Azuki’s Twitter account has already been recovered

Hoshiboy immediately contacted Twitter’s support team to recover the account. In the meantime, the founders and other members of the project also tried to create their own accounts with the messages below to inform the community what happened to Azuki’s main Twitter account. As of yesterday followingnoon, tweets from the hacked account had already disappeared, although moderators on Azuki’s Discord were still warning people that so that no one continues to click on links. The last time Azuki was written regarding was the creation of The Garden for holders of anime-inspired NFTs.

It is a metaverse meeting place where owners can gather together in the virtual world. If we look at OpenSea data, we can see that Azuki NFTs are currently trading around $23,600. While the project itself has generated $4.5 million in revenue since its launch in January 2022. For some reason, Azuki has been the target of hackers several times. Back in April last year, the Twitter account of a university scholarship board in India was hacked to advertise a fake Azuki NFT airdrop. Then, and as it appears now, the account was quickly recovered from the attackers.
