The news is not recent, but deserves to be underlined. The company behind Twitch is experimenting with a feature that makes clips appear in a new vertical-scrolling feed it calls a “discovery feed” (discovery feed), which has been rolled out to some users, according to a post from Twitch on X (Twitter).

The stream will show you clips from Twitch creators, although to start with the clips will only be horizontal. Twitch says users will see vertical clips as the stream evolves. The discovery feed currently includes featured clips (creators can indicate which of their clips they want to be added to the “featured” group) as well as popular clips.

Twitch joins companies like Spotify, Amazon, and Reddit in introducing a TikTok-like format. The streaming company announced the Discovery Stream as one of a few new features coming involving clips, including the ability to directly export clips to TikTok.

A vertically scrolling video stream isn’t the only feature from other social media networks coming to Twitch; the company also announced in July that it plans to introduce stories to the platform.
