The triumphant arrival of Jean Pierre Brol in Guatemala
The Guatemalan athlete arrives in the country after winning bronze in Paris 2024.

12 years after the first Olympic medal arrived in Guatemala, Jean Pierre Brol brings back a bronze medal and this Monday, August 5, he arrived at La Aurora International Airport.
After several hours of waiting by the public, the Guatemalan finally arrived in the country at 3 p.m., but it was not until 4:45 p.m. that he left the airport and in a car boasting of his medal won in Paris 2024.
Before his arrival, his older brothers, Hebert and Enrique Brol, and his mother, Jeannette Cárdenas, said they were “proud” of what Jean Pierre had achieved.
On leaving the airport, Jean Pierre Brol was very grateful and proudly and emotionally showed off his bronze medal. The national said: “I am really happy to be experiencing all this and thank you very much for the warm welcome.”
During his stay at the airport he also received the Minister of Culture and Sports, Liwy Grazioso Sierra.
