A trial was launched in New York in the case of the murder of Jam Master, co-founder of the famous trio Run DMC, who was shot dead in 2002 in the American city.
Two men, Ronald Washington (59 years old) and Carl Jordan Jr. (40 years old), suspected of being the shooter, appeared before a federal court in New York, during the trial, which began with selecting jury members before considering the case.
Both are on trial for the October 30, 2002 shooting death of the DJ inside his recording studio in Queens, where Run-DMC formed in the early 1980s.

According to their theory, the motive for the murder was an altercation between Ronald Washington and Jam Master Jay, whose real name was Jason William Mizell, over the resale of kilograms of cocaine.
