“The Tren de Aragua Criminal Cell Dismantled in Concepción: Arrests, Charges, and Pretrial Detention”

They were in pretrial detention the eight members of the Tren de Aragua cell that operates in ConcepciónBío Bío region, in addition to another person involved in the case of human trafficking, drug and arms trafficking.

The tenth person arrested was left with total house arrest.

This was stated by the magistrate in the Concepción Guarantee Court, Rodrigo Gonzalez-Fuente, at the end of the formalization hearing.

It was during a massive operation that took place last Thursday in at least 16 homes in downtown Concepción, where the arm of the dangerous gang the Tren de Aragua was dismantled.

The criminal group was led in the capital of Bío Bío by Luis Ceballos (30) of Colombian nationality, and his partner Mary Colmenarez Orosco (23), a Venezuelan who was in charge of buying makeup and lingerie, among other functions, for women victims of human trafficking and forced into prostitution.

They add the Venezuelan Enrique Silva León (18), who carried out escort functions; Carlos Tulcan Montoya (34), Colombian, Luis’ partner, and his partner, the Chilean-Argentine Josette Rosales Rosales (31). The latter leased the buildings where women were forced to prostitute themselves.

For their part, Efraín Guaimacuto (27), Omar Partidas Camacaro (29) and Jesús Fernández (23), all Venezuelans, are accused of infringing the drug law.

Aurimar Reyes Galea (19), a Venezuelan woman, is accused of infringing the weapons law.

All the aforementioned people were placed under the precautionary measure of preventive detention, while the tenth detainee, Keili Carreño Galea (29), a Venezuelan, was placed under total house arrest, since it was not possible to prove possession of a firearm.

In this case, the Government is also a complainant and they joined the request of the Prosecutor’s Office to leave the accused in preventive detention.
