Work also continues on the construction sites of the Rail Baltic railway route and national road crossings and associated traffic junctions.

“This year, we are also placing great emphasis on environmentally friendly and value-based procurement in order to bring more environmentally friendly materials to road maintenance and reduce CO2 emissions caused by our activities,” said Priit Sauk.
In the future, it is planned to give preference to the use of local materials with a smaller CO2 footprint, to increase the recycling of asphalt mixes and milling dust with lower temperatures, and to promote the transition of construction machinery and construction transport to alternative fuels.
