If today the singer, who celebrates her 27th birthday this Sunday, November 26, is a fulfilled woman, fulfilled with her companion Florian Rossi and their daughter Esmée born in March 2020, she has been faced with painful ordeals in the past. The meteorically rising artist lost both of his parents in 2013 and 2014.

Louane’s parents died at 59 and 50 years old

Louane, whose real name is Anne Peichert, first saw her father Jean-Pierre Peichert leave. He passed away on February 20, 2013 following a battle with illness and had little time to see the beginnings of a career that promised to be incredible for his daughter. Louane was only 17 years old at that time and revealed himself as a very promising talent in The Voice on TF1. Jean-Pierre Peichert left too early at 59, he was the business manager of SCAD Assurances in Hénin-Beaumont.

During her participation in the show, the young woman mentioned her dad when she sang Imagine de John Lennon. “It was his favorite song. He asked me to sing this song at his funeral and that’s what I did. Tonight, I have to make my dad proud, it would be for me the culmination of all these weeks of work“, she then declared.

On April 28, 2014, Louane was faced with a new terrible ordeal: the death of her mother. Isabel Peichert – born Pinto Dos Santos and of Portuguese origin, was general director of SCAD Assurances, the family business. Like her husband, she battled illness, a battle she sadly lost at age 50.

Modest, Louane very rarely mentioned the death of her parents. In December 2017, during an interview with Paris Match, the singer spoke regarding her mom and dad and their disappearance. “My mother instilled in me a love of work. She told me: ‘Do what you want, but do it to the fullest.’ I love to work. My father taught me the meaning of loyalty. I am loyal and faithful to those I love, but also to those with whom I work. I have a lot of trouble changing teams. Not letting others down is an important value of my education“, she declared. The most beautiful team is the one she forms today with her partner and their daughter.
