The father of the victims, Ahmed Othman, said, according to “Sky News Arabia”: “I count my children as martyrs, and I do not praise them before God. Their mother is broken and their separation is difficult, but it is God’s destiny and his choice, and we must accept it.”

He added, “The people of all the neighboring villages came to the funeral of his sons, given their good reputation and their superiority, which everyone witnessed.” He explained that his eldest daughter, Aya, was very superior and got an honors grade from the Delta University College of Pharmacy, and she was going to be appointed as a teaching assistant.

He continued, “Two days before the accident, she went to her brother and sister in Arish to spend two days with them, and the family was waiting for them at Suhoor on Wednesday night, as they moved from Arish following breakfast, but fate preceded us.”
