The agreement between the Rhodes Marathon and TUI covers the 2025, 2026 and 2027 editions. After the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca in October, the TUI Rhodes Marathon, which will take place on April 6, 2025, is the second major international sporting event in the new sports calendar of the tour operator.

“The partnership with the TUI Rhodes Marathon is a natural extension of our relationship with this incredible island. This marathon is more than just a race, it is a celebration of the vibrant culture, stunning scenery and rich history that Rhodes has to offer. Through this event, we strengthen our product offering, reach new audiences and support our valued partners in Rhodes,” says Thomas Ellerbeck, TUI Executive Committee Member and Group External Affairs Director.

The 42.195km coastal route has been designed to make the most of the cultural and natural setting of Rhodes. The approximately 3,500 participants will enjoy magnificent views as they run along the medieval walls of the old city, with the Aegean Sea in the background. For those looking for a less intense challenge, the event also offers a half marathon, a 10k course and a 5k course, ensuring there’s something for everyone, whether it’s high-level athlete or occasional jogger.

Sports and travel enthusiasts will soon be able to purchase their tickets on the TUI Musement website or app, as well as in TUI hotels. As part of the company’s new sports sponsorship strategy, other high-profile international sporting events will be announced soon.

With ten hotels and resorts on Rhodes, TUI will have transported more than 650,000 visitors to the island in 2024.
