It was a dangerous stage for the Guyanese, Dilhan Will, wearing the yellow jersey for 6 stages. A last race of 142 km which gives victory to Martiniquais, Eddy-Michel Cadet-Marthe. Dilhan Wilhan finished almost 3 minutes behind the winner. The disappointment is great in the Guyanese camp but we will remember, all the same, the emergence of a great champion who will have given everything during the 9 days of competition..

Coming so close to his holy grail, Dilhan Will did not achieve the feat that was expected of him: winning the 42nd edition of the Tour de la Martinique. But he managed, all the same, a memorable lap. Stage following stage, he showed all his qualities as a rider and climber in an unfavorable collective configuration.
He behaved irreproachably which commanded the respect of the observers and won the support of the public, positioning him as the boss of the peloton until the 8th stage.
Nevertheless, the disappointment is great for the Guyanese rider, lonely, for this last stage, in a chasing group where he was never relayed during the 3h20 of competition. Inexorably losing his lead of 2’09 minutes over the second overall, the Martican Eddy-Michel Cadet-Marthe, big winner of the Martinican loop.
