SUVs still just as popular, Tesla surprising: the ranking of the 10 best-selling vehicles in the world in 2022 has been unveiled by the firm JATO Dynamics. Is yours on the list?

Although new vehicle sales fell by around 2% in 2022 compared to 2021 globally, more than 79.4 million new cars were sold in the automotive market.
7.37 million of new vehicles sold in 2022 (9.3% of the global market) were electric, which represents a gain of 66% compared to the previous year.
In addition to electric cars, SUVs are still popular with motorists, with 32.8 million of these vehicles sold in 2022.
The drop in the sale of new vehicles is attributed to manufacturers’ supply problems, such as the shortage of semiconductors, indicates the “Car Guide».

1. Toyota RAV4 – 1,016,000 units sold (10% decrease from 2021)
