Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United player, tops the list of the best scorers of the European Champions League throughout history, before the start of the new football season 2022-2023 of the continental competition.
Ronaldo scored 140 goals in the Champions League, to top the list of historical scorers, surpassing his Argentine rival, Lionel Messi, the runner-up, with 125 goals.
Portuguese star Ronaldo is absent from participating in the new version of the Champions League, following his Manchester United team failed to qualify for the tournament.
The competitions for the new version of the European Champions League will start on Tuesday evening, with Chelsea’s confrontations with Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia, and Borussia Dortmund with Copenhagen of Denmark.
