The time frame for reviewing relations with Saudi Arabia.. White House spokeswoman clarifies amid interaction

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media interacted with the statement of White House spokeswoman Karen Jean-Pierre, and what she said about relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its review after the OPEC + decision to reduce production, which she considered an “alignment” with Russia.

“From the beginning of the administration, since he took office, the president has been very clear that the United States needs a different kind of relationship with Saudi Arabia,” the spokeswoman said in the White House daily briefing. “He said that very early on. And I said this last week when OPEC has taken the decision to align its energy policy with Russia’s war, the war is aimed at and against the American people and further emphasizes the logic of reorganizing that relationship with Saudi Arabia.”

“We’re reviewing where we are now, and we’ll be watching closely over the coming weeks and months as well, consulting with our allies and also with members of Congress. Decisions will be made…and to be clear, I’m not going to pre-empt that. But that’s the process we’re going to take.”

In response to a question about the time frame for reviewing relations with Saudi Arabia, she said: “We don’t have a timetable. But this is clearly something we will be watching closely. We said from the beginning, we need to have some kind of reassessment and to have a different relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” Saudi Arabia, especially after the decision by OPEC +. We were very clear about that last week.”
