(Travel Leisure News) The Timber House, located in a secret underground space of Park Hyatt Seoul, presents 13 types of cocktails with a jukebox concept that reflect the passion and experience of head mixologist Tae-hwan Shin, who recently joined the team. You can enjoy a more sensuous experience with new cocktails inspired by the rich charm of Korean liquor and ingredients, captivating music provided by premium vinyl music, and a unique interior that combines oriental and modern beauty.
The Timber House, which sublimates the sophisticated oriental beauty of traditional Korean houses into a modern era, provides a new cultural space by utilizing each traditional Korean accessory as a spatial work of art. The oriental interior features decoration using tiles and comb-patterned sliding doors, a wall stacked with old books, a cabinet decorated with luggage and firewood, and a glass wall displaying dozens of traditional furniture locks woven together, as well as the main cocktail bar and central bar. Modern interiors such as large three-sided mirrors and sophisticated lighting are harmoniously combined to create a quiet yet sophisticated atmosphere.
The Timber House is a creative reinterpretation of traditional Korean tastes and styles by harmoniously mixing traditional Korean tastes and styles with modern mixology technology by head mixologist Tae-hwan Shin, who has won various awards such as World 50 Best Bar and Best Creative Bar Menu in Singapore and has experience working for global hotel brands. We serve a variety of signature cocktails.
The new cocktail with a jukebox concept, divided into four parts: gramophone, turntable, hi-fi, and juke point, shows rhythmic creativity in combination with a special story. Gramophone’s four cocktails are not just cocktails, but attractive reinterpretations of classic cocktails as a tribute to the pioneers of sound. The cocktail presented in the turntable section is a creative cocktail that combines retro sensibility with modern changes, expressing praise for the artists who created the soundtrack. The three cocktails presented by Hi-Fi Part, which pursues sound quality for pure sound, deliver a sophisticated and delicate experience.
The final juke joint offers a vibrant, music-filled history with a lively history of southern blues, house elixirs, and more.
“Each cocktail is an homage to every era in music, from the vintage charm of the Gramaphone to the sophisticated sophistication of hi-fi,” said Maximilian Provis, Park Hyatt Seoul’s Food and Beverage Manager. Menus that showcase the level, depth and diversity of Korea’s gastronomy provide a unique, sensuous and luxurious experience. “I hope you can sit and enjoy the music you choose while savoring the charm of cocktails to the rhythm of various music,” he said.
